Steve Ditko and Wally Wood T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents #7 "A Matter of Life and Death" Splash Page 1 Menthor Original Art (Tower, 1966). In the mid 1960s, Tower was turning out some of the best comics around. The company was mainly known for their innovative T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents title and its spin-off books. There were two big crazes in the 1960s... super-heroes and spies. This title combined the two in a highly effective way. Tower also hired top-notch talent such as Gil Kane, Reed Crandall, Dan Adkins, Sam Schwartz, and Steve Skeates. However, two of the highest-profile creators both worked on this page... Steve Ditko and Wally Wood. This striking splash page is produced in ink over graphite with red ink key lines on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 18". Menthor stands 10" tall on the page! Slight tanning, a bit of discoloration in the paste-up logo, and some minor handling and edge/corner wear... otherwise in Excellent condition.
