Description
Steve Bissette Sojourn #1 Splash Pages 4-5 Original Art (White Cliffs Publishing, 1977). In this densely rendered double-splash, fantastical beasts wage a jungle skirmish against colossal worm-like creatures. Originally published as a poster for the short-lived British tabloid comic anthology Sojourn, this early work by Bissette emerged during his first year of studies at the Kubert School, foreshadowing his iconic contributions to Swamp Thing in the following decade. Crafted in ink and white paint over graphite on conjoined illustration boards with a combined image area of 32" x 23". Signed and dated by Bissette on paste-up in the image area. Water damage, spot stains, multiple pieces of patched-in original art, adhesive residue, marginal notes, and handling wear. In Good condition.More information about Steve Bissette.
