Description

Stephen Bissette and John Totleben Saga of the Swamp Thing #35 Splash Page 1 Original Art (DC, 1985). A simply lovely splash page with the kind of detail you would expect from the team of Steve Bissette and John Totleben. The love affair between Abby and Swamp Thing was a driving force in the popularity of this title, and one of the main reasons it attracted a large female readership. It was chosen as the first of DC's Vertigo imprint books, which were aimed at an older and more diverse audience than their main-lane titles. This densely detailed piece is crafted in ink, with a bit of white paint, over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15" (including the paste-up indicia). With only slight tanning and corner trims, this beauty is in Excellent condition. Signed by John Totleben in the bottom margin.
