    Description

Simon Bisley Melting Pot #2 Page 70 Original Art (Kitchen Sink, 1994). Simon Bisley exploded on the US comic scene with his fantastic painted work for this series. The pencils for the series were produced by Kevin Eastman and Eric Talbot. How does Simon Bisley paint such startling images? Kevin Eastman details the Biz's methods, "He pencils and inks the drawing, then covers it with a sepia or darker brown base coat to build off. This is a pretty traditional style of painting from "dark to light" used for centuries -- the brown under-painting, or even using another under-paint, can give the overall "tone" desired for the finished work. Then starting with a dark color for the areas you want to paint out, you continue to go back into the section using lighter and lighter mixes of the color, to the final "highlight" which gives a great blending effect." This page of paint measures 9" x 13". In Excellent condition.
