Description
Ross Andru, Mike Esposito, and Dave Hunt Amazing Spider-Man #158 Splash Page 17 Original Art (Marvel, 1976). A great deal of Spider-Man's recurring villains were based on animals, however Hammerhead always seemed more suited for a Dick Tracy comic strip! At least there is Doctor Octopus in the background to right the status quo. Ross Andru supplied the breakdowns for Mike Esposito to render the finished characters, while Dave Hunt handled the backgrounds on this splash page. It was the last page of a 17-page story, but appeared as page 31 due to ads (they ran a lot of ads back then). Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight tanning, with production tape in the margins. In Excellent condition.More information about Ross Andru. See also: Andru, Ross Artist. Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
