Robert Crumb Big Ass Comics #2 "Eggs Escapes" Title Page Original Art (Rip Off Press, 1971). Eggs Ackley finds himself a prisoner with the giant Vulture Demonesses in this crazy eye-popping page. By 1971, Robert Crumb was obviously getting a bit burned out and jaded about being "America's Favorite Underground Comix Artist," as seen by his "excuse me for living" signature here, but he still delivered a knock-out job with the second and last issue of his solo title, Big Ass Comics. This is the first page of the lead-off story, a continuation from the first issue. It's in ink over light graphite on sketchbook paper, with an approximate image area of 8" x 12". There's a very tiny amount of handling wear along the outer borders, but the overall condition is Excellent. A great page that any R. Crumb fan will want! From the Howard Greber Collection.
