DescriptionPaul Reinman Cracked #1 "The Kremlin" Splash Page 22-23 Original Art (Major Publications, 1958). March of 1958 saw the release of the first issue for the longest running competitor that MAD Magazine ever had! The Cold War was in full swing, and fair game for satire, as evidenced by this two page spread by Paul Reinman. Most of the paste-up text is missing, which would have explained that this was supposedly a photo snapped by a secreted Soviet informant. The amount of detail and dumb jokes is simply staggering. Produced in ink over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 19.5" x 12.5". Tanned with edge/corner wear and foxing. Overall in Good condition. From the Cracked Vault Collection.
