Description

Neal Adams - The Brave and the Bold #79 Batman and Deadman Splash Page 2 Original Art (DC, 1968). In the Silver Age, Neal Adams revolutionized superhero comic book art with a "photorealistic" illustration approach he learned during his early days in the advertising comic strip field, working alongside such talents as Elmer Wexler, Lou Fine, and Stan Drake. After a decade of using a select, "closed" pool of talent, Adams was at the vanguard of a new generation of artistic firebrands eager to work at DC Comics. Batman, Commissioner Gordon, and Deadman ponder the murder of Whitey Marsh in this dramatically staged splash from "The Track of the Hook." Note the misspelling of "Batam" at the upper left. The image area of the page is 10" x 15", and aside from some mild glue staining around the logo stats at the top, the page is in Excellent condition.
