Description
Murphy Anderson Detective Comics #480 "Hawkman" Splash Page Original Art (DC Comics, 1978). Anderson's welcome return to one of his signature characters: The master illustrator had succeeded Joe Kubert on Hawkman during the 1960s, and he resumes the duty without a beat missed. A dizzying aerial composition dominates this two-thirds splash, supplemented by one of Anderson's creepier/goofier villains. Ink and white overpainting atop blue pencil on vellum, affixed to Bristol board. Image area, 10"x 15". Conspicuous age-toning in the vellum layer. Intact and in Good condition.
