    Description

Milo Manara Genius V2#11 and #22 Splash Page Original Art Group (Furio Viano Editore, c. 1970). Milo Manara has long been associated with his erotic drawings of lovely women in fun, and sometimes quirky, stories. Indian Summer, produced with Hugo Pratt, was a huge hit for him, as was his two serialized stories starring Giuseppe Bergman which ran in Heavy Metal Magazine. Manara was first published in the first 22 issues of Genius V2. This version of the title starred an F.B.I. agent-turned-costumed-executioner known as "Il Gatto Verde" (The Green Cat) in a small pocket-sized book, usually with only one or two panels per page. So almost every page is either a splash-page or a half-splash! This group of two pages includes a half splash page 75 from issue #11. Also included is page 95 from issue #22, which is a full splash page of his assistant, the lovely and dangerous Mirna. Issue #22 was Manara's last on the title. The pages are ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 8.5" x 12". In Excellent condition.
