Mike Ploog and Sal Buscema Kull the Destroyer #12 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1974). It's obvious that Kull did not get beheaded in this story! Robert E. Howard's other barbarian continued to star in his own title for another 17 issues, not to mention the subsequent Kull and the Barbarians magazine, and Kull the Conqueror. So don't worry, just admire that great Mike Ploog artwork. Ploog is best remembered for his horror comics work, but he obviously knows his way around sword and sorcery as well. He signed the art near the top. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 13.5". Some stains on the page, and missing header and indicia paste-up. Slight tanning. In Very Good condition.
