DescriptionMark Bright (as M.D. Bright) and Romeo Tanghal Green Lantern #26 Story Page 18 Original Art (DC Comics, 1992). Evil Star, a cosmic menace to reckon with, dominates this internal splash from the first episode of a three-part story called "Evil Star Rising." Bright's dynamic composition, with full-body foreshortening reminiscent of Jack Kirby or John Buscema, is complemented by a heavy-duty job of inking from Tanghal. Much more detail is shown here than in the published version, which obscured portions of the face and body with superimposed white starbursts. (The starburst-shapes appear in black on an accompanying photostatic overlay.) Tanghal's signature appears at lower margin. Ink over graphite on bright white Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15". Faint toning. Excellent condition.
