Kim Deitch - Waldo Pin Up/Poster Original Art (No Publisher, 1994). This piece of art should be a real treat for anyone who appreciates the work of Kim Deitch. Rendered in ink and colored with color pencils and watercolor, it contains many of the scenes and motifs that Deitch has explored and expanded on throughout his career. A crazy carnival scene straight out of Waldo World is in the foreground, with the easily recognizable Boulevard of Broken Dreams looming in the background. The incredibly detailed composition offers hours of enjoyment for the dedicated viewer, and the brilliant candy-bright color scheme must be seen to be appreciated. The artwork is professionally matted and framed, with an overall size of 28.5" x 24" and an image area of 22" x 17". The piece is in Excellent condition. If you feel up for a challenge, try counting all the faces in this scene - almost everything has a face!
