Kaare Andrews Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis #4 Double Splash Page 14-15 Original Art (Marvel, 2011). This original art is the only place you'll ever see artist Kaare Andrews' original intentions for this Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis double splash page featuring an army of Furies dumping countless dead heroes into a pit. If you look closely, the heroes at the forefront are all characters from Marvel's Distinguished Competition: Batman, Robin, Superman, and Wonder Woman! The published page has been heavily altered to make these characters unrecognizable as the icons they are. The stunning splash was rendered with ink and white paint over graphite on two interconnecting Marvel Bristol boards with a combined image area of 20.25" x 16.25".
