Description
José Delbo and Dave Hunt The Transformers #59 Grimlock vs. Megatron Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1989). "Me, Grimlock, smash Megatron!" This full-page splash from Simon Furman's "Skin Deep" gives the Dinobot leader an entrance worthy of his legend, smoothly capturing his transformation from robot to T-rex as he barrels into Megatron, with Ratchet staring on in stunned disbelief. The issue closed out Furman's powerful Megatron/Ratchet resurrection arc with an emotional payoff, one that would echo famously through later stories. Ink and screentone over graphite on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15.25" (including indicia paste-up). Slight toning, discolored text paste-ups, stat logo paste-ups, title and credits paste-ups, blue pencil editorial notes/marks, whiteout corrections, smudging/soiling, adhesive residue, marginal staple holes/pinholes, and light handling wear.
