Description

John K. Snyder III Green Lantern: Brightest Day; Blackest Night Splash Page 48 Original Art (DC, 2002). A luminous finale for a modern classic tale of the original Emerald Gladiator. Alan Scott and Irene Miller stroll through the twilight streets of Gotham in a quiet, heartfelt moment. Irene, unaware of Alan's heroic double life, gently teases him about being a bit old-fashioned -- though she admits he has flashes of brilliance. Her words are echoed visually in this stunning final splash, where Green Lantern appears bathed in the glow of his power ring, set against a radiant sunset. It's a poetic, pitch-perfect close to a one-shot that lives up to its title, Brightest Day. Created in mixed media on thick Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15.75". A protective onion skin overlay is taped to the back. Light marginal smudging and minor corner wear. Signed by Snyder III in the lower left image area, and again in the lower right margin. In Excellent condition.
From the Keif Fromm Estate.
