Description

John Buscema, Marie Severin, and Danny Bulanadi - Kull the Conqueror #1 Splash Page 36 Original Art (Marvel, 1982). Even before Marvel's first venture into the genre of sword and sorcery had proven successful with Conan the Barbarian a year earlier, Stan Lee had given Roy Thomas the green light to feature another barbarian hero from pulp writer Robert E. Howard's stable of literary characters -- Kull! The King of Valusia delivers a taste of Valusian steel to an army of half men half beast warriors, in this page penciled by John Buscema and inked by Danny Bulanadi. Marie Severin also contributed with an art correction to Kull's face and a few touch-ups to the beast-men's costumes. The image area measures 10" x 15" and aside from touches of white-out on the art corrections, the art is in Excellent condition.
