John Buscema and Tom Palmer The Avengers #79 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1970). Thor and Iron Man greet the other Avengers after arriving to a meeting of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Captain America, Goliath (Clint Barton), Vision, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch (not shown) have pressing matters after the Black Panther is captured by M'Baku. A classic John Buscema title splash created with the inks and screentone of Tom Palmer over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight toning, stat reproduction header paste-up, partial title and taped indicia paste-ups, blue pencil editorial marks and whiteout corrections, residue and oil staining, with light handling wear.
