    John Buscema and Ernie Chan - Original Splash Page Art for Conan the Barbarian #104 (Marvel, 1979). The credits on this page list John Buscema and Ernie Chan as "illustrators/innovators" and that is a great way to describe the work they've done to bring the world's most well-known barbarian, Conan, to life. This captivating splash page features an almost iconic shot of the Cimmerian, surrounded by some gorgeous women, under the auspicious title "The Vale of the Lost Women", which was written by Roy Thomas. The work is drawn on a sheet of 11" x 17" sheet of bristol board, with a 10" x 12.5" image area. This piece includes all the original indicia paste-ups at the top and bottom. The work is exceptionally clean, with some white-out along the top and the right and left sides. There is also some slight staining at the bottom left and right, to the sides of the paste-up indicia at the bottom.
