Joe Kubert - Original Art for Our Army at War #133, page 1 (DC, 1963). Did you ever wonder what happens to a soldier after he wins our country's highest honor for extraordinary bravery? Where can he go from there? Sgt. Rock finds out when he's booby-trapped by Easy's new replacement in "Yesterday's Hero!", drawn by Joe Kubert. Kubert's war work is nothing less than genius -- no one else can capture the tension of a violent moment like this master. You can feel the mortar passing by and the sweat dripping in these two teeth-grinding panels. The overall page size is 14.25" x 21.5" with a 13" x 17" image area. The art still rocks, even with the general aging that permeates the page, and some sporadic staining at the bottom left and middle right. Signed by Joe Kubert at the bottom left.
