Jim Starlin and Steve Leialoha - Warlock #12 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1976). The scene: Mama Alpha's Cabaret, upon a world called Sirus X, once known as Homeworld. The characters: Mama Alpha, Pip the Troll and the golden being named Adam Warlock. This celestial splash page is from 1976, and writer/artist Jim Starlin was at his absolute best, elevating Warlock to an utterly unique, compelling character with gripping characterization, thought provoking philosophy and theology, and good old "bust 'em up" superhero action. Starlin's art here is superb, heavy on brooding shadows, with a striking panel composition and an enthralling set. The art has an image area of 10" x 15," and is in Excellent condition.
