DescriptionJim Mooney and Sam Kweskin - Original Art for Sub-Mariner #60, page 1 (Marvel, 1973). A brooding, errant Sub-Mariner sits upon his watery throne, in deep thought, in this unforgettable splash page image, by Jim Mooney. The plot is by none other than Bill Everett, the creator of the Prince of Atlantis, and with a script by Steve Gerber, "The Invasion of New York" is underway. The overall page size is 10.5" x 16" with a 10" x 13" image area. The art is very clean, with some blue line pencil showing through the pencils and some blue line pencil notations along the three right edges. There are two large stains along the top and bottom, where some paste-ups are missing, and a tape stain at the extreme right.
