Jay Lynch Nard n' Pat Unused Splash Page Original Art (1970). While this opening page to a Jay Lynch Nard n' Pat story may look familiar, it really isn't. Jay explains it all: "In 1970, when I began drawing the Nard n' Pat story for Bijou #4... I got off to a false start. I had essentially finished drawing the first page of the story, and while added Zipatone to it, I decided to start over and redraw the page". Basically, what happened was that Jay was using scraps of shading film and ran out; knowing he could not match with new film what had been done, or easily strip off the old film, he began again. The page is on bristol, with an image area measuring approximately 7.75" x 11.5", and is in Very Good condition. Includes a signed letter from Lynch, verifying and explaining the page.
