Description
James O'Barr The Crow #3 "Death" Splash Page Original Art (Tundra, 1992). An evocative splash from "Death", the final chapter of The Crow! When the original Crow comic was released by Caliber Press, creator James O'Barr had planned a five-issue limited series, with each issue as a separate chapter: "Pain", "Fear", "Irony", "Despair", and "Death". The series was cut short at four issues, and Caliber never published the last chapter. "Death" was eventually released as the third issue of Tundra Publishing's prestige reprinting of the Caliber series, completing the full story as it was originally intended. This poignant splash of Eric Draven appears after his interaction with Sherri, as his focus shifts to carrying out his final vengeance on T-Bird and the remaining people responsible for his and his fiancee's murders. Ink and screentone over graphite on Duo-Shade board with an image area of 10.75" x 16.75". Whiteout touch-ups, slightly yellowed shading film, with light soiling and edge/handling wear.
