Jack Kirby Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #141 Splash Page 1 Collage Background Original Art (DC, 1971). An original "King" Kirby Collage from his fan-favorite Fourth World series? Far-out! "Innovative" is a word that just can't be used enough with Jack Kirby. No one was making comic books this way at that time. This page is 100% hand-cut paste-up by the hand of Kirby himself. Heritage has only handled one of these types of Fourth World pages before. They are super-rare. The image area measures 10" x 14.75" and is pasted to a piece of Bristol board. It is signed by Kirby in the bottom right image area. The colors on these crazy montages never reproduced well in the limited print range of newsprint comic books. The original art looks amazing. In the printed comic, there were caption boxes and a small Kirby-drawn spaceship overlaid on this artwork. This is just the background collage. In Excellent condition.
