Jack Kirby Boys' Ranch #6 "Teeth For the Iron Horse" Splash Page Original Art (Harvey, 1951). By the time of this sixth and final issue of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby's Western take on their classic "boy gang" comic formula, the pair had little involvement in producing the material. Most art chores were doled out to assistants, with one important exception -- the opening "splash" pages to each story, which were still handled by Jack Kirby. This incredible action-packed page is one of the best in the series, featuring Clay Duncan and the boys fending off train robbers while perilously perched at the front end of a roaring locomotive. The ink and graphite art has an image area of 12" x 18", and features the original logo stat. Some minor soiling along the outer borders; otherwise, in Excellent condition. From the Joe Simon Estate.
