    Description

Jack Kirby Boys' Ranch #3 "Mother Delilah" Splash Page Original Art (Harvey, 1951). Simon and Kirby's Boys' Ranch was a different kind of Western comic book, with mature storylines that echoed a more realistic, grim and gritty "Wild West" instead of the glorified versions found in other titles from the early 1950s. This dramatic splash page, featuring a shamed and beaten Angel and a devious, shifty-eyed femme fatale, kicked off an epic 20-page story in the third issue, and has long been held in Joe Simon's archives. Ink and graphite on board, with an image area measuring 12" x 18", with original logo masthead. Some soiling along the borders, but overall Excellent condition. From the Joe Simon Estate.
