    Description

Jack Kirby and Vince Colletta Thor #158 Splash Page 19 Original Art (Marvel, 1968). Doctor Don Blake reflects on what has happened in his life since finding an enchanted walking stick that turns him into the Asgardian known as the Mighty Thor! This part of the flashback sequence features a montage of some of the memorable characters that appeared in the innovative and exciting series... Kamilla (The Norn Queen); Loki; the Destroyer armor; Balder the Brave; The Warriors Three -- Fandral the Fair, Hogun the Grim, and Volstagg the Voluminous; Pluto (Greco/Roman god of the Underworld); Hercules; Ulik the Troll; and the supervillain known as Cobra. It's a star-studded page to be sure and dripping with that Kirby Magic! Produced in ink (and a bit of Zipatone on Loki's horns) over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The page is tanned with corner damage, edge wear, and handling. There is a small production oil stain in the upper right, and a taped on lettering correction in the caption box. Overall in Very Good condition.
