Jack Kirby and Vince Colletta Thor #126 Splash Page 9 Hercules Original Art (Marvel, 1966). Kirby's masterful layout skills created this panel-filling close-up as we get in good and close! It's a page that is very similar to the issue's cover. These massive mythical men are testing their mettle over the love of Jane Foster in the tale "Whom the Gods Would Destroy!" The fact that this page was created at twice-up scale just makes the original art seem that much more "larger-than-life". Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 12.5" x 18.5". There is some whiteout text correction on the lightly toned page, and a bit of production tape on the "continued..." strip at the bottom. In Excellent condition.
