Jack Kirby and Vince Colletta Journey Into Mystery #125 Thor Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1964). Enchanted Asgardian Norn Stones or not, the Witch Doctor known as the Demon is headed for a terrible thumping if he expects to win a mano a mano battle with the God of Thunder. This spectacular splash from "When Meet the Immortals," the yarn that featured Hercules in his third JIM appearance (as boldly noted in the Artful Artie Simek caption) is crackling with dynamic tension -- the kind only Jack "King" Kirby could create on an opening splash. Vince Colletta adds his distinctive inking to create the perfect Marvel Age finish for this masterwork. The image area of this spectacular Silver Age splash measures 12.5" x 18.5". Aside from some overall wear, trimmed borders, and overall paper aging, the art is in Very Good condition.More information about Jack Kirby.
