    Description

Jack Kirby and Mike Royer Unpublished Dingbats of Danger Street #2 Splash Page Original Art (c. 1973). Dingbats of Danger Street was the last kid-gang feature from the man who created the Boy Commandos, the Newsboy Legion, and other memorable groups. DC's First Issue Special # 6 (1975) is where the group's first story saw print, but #2 never did. This splash is stamped as "inventory" several times -- 1973, 1974, 1976, and finally stamped as "written-off" in 1977. The page demonstrates Kirby's ability to take a simple question like "What's that noise?" and flesh it out into a dramatic four-character reaction that tells us who the heroes are, and what they might be up against. This splash has an image area of 10" x 15", and it's in Excellent condition.
