Jack Kirby and Mike Royer The Demon #2 Splash Page 6 Original Art (DC, 1972). Ah, there's nothing quite like an original splash page by Jack Kirby! Only Kirby's dynamic art could make the action pop off the page the way the Demon does on this powerful Chapter Two header page! The Demon was Kirby's stab at providing DC with a "Horror" character, and came directly after his Fourth World titles had been canceled. The first issue sold well enough to continue the series, and in the end, Kirby did 16 issues. This page is drawn in ink, graphite, and blue pencil on bristol, with a 10" x 15" image area. There are minor tape stains in the outer borders, and the "Continued" type blurb at the bottom of the page is taped in place, but the overall condition of the art is Excellent. Kirby has signed the page in the lower left. Behold the power of Etrigan, the Demon! Behold the power of Jack "King" Kirby!
