Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers Tales of Suspense #27 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1962). OOG Lives Again! And he even gets an appearance in a major motion picture! If you watch Fantastic Four: First Steps closely, you will see this an image of this art pop up in a scene from inside the "Timely" offices with "Stan" and "Jack". It is one of the only instances of published art making such an appearance in a MCU blockbuster that we can recall. And it makes sense in terms of the FF's origin as the release date of this issue was December 12, 1961, with Fantastic Four #1 being released on August 8, 1961 -- so Kirby was likely working on this art right around the time of the FF's creationIt's Oog's first appearance, and one of those fantastic twice-up scale monster splash pages by King Kirby from the early 1960s. This powerful scene was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.75" x 18.75". The lightly toned board has some whiteout art corrections (notably in the upper left). In Very Good condition.
