    Description

Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers - Rawhide Kid #20, page 26 (Marvel, 1961). This superb Rawhide Kid splash page from the hand of "King" Kirby is a sensational, early piece of Marvel art. Dick Ayers, an accomplished artist, was the inker here, and the Kirby and Ayers combination proved ideal for the Western genre. The Rawhide Kid and Nightwind have ridden to the point of total exhaustion, and now they must rest, which leads to "The Defeat of the Rawhide Kid." The image area of the page is 12.5" x 18.5". The title logo stat at the upper left has slipped off, and there are a few small stains in the lettering of the story title; otherwise the art is in Excellent condition. Signed "Kirby and Ayers" at the lower right. Yee-haw!
