DescriptionJack Kirby and Dick Ayers - Fantastic Four #11, page 16 Sub-Mariner Pin-Up Original Art (Marvel, 1963). Prince Namor, the Mighty Submariner (note there's no hyphen in this early appearance), earned his very first Marvel pin-up page, looking stately and resplendent in his scaly green swimming trunks. The background details of Subby's trophy room are very cool, and show the wealth of imagination poured into the early days of Marvel. As always, Jack Kirby is masterful at creating an iconic image, and his Namor captures all the regal bearing and unchained power inherent in the character. The image area of this terrific pin-up measures 12.5" x 18.5" and the artwork is in Excellent condition. Here's a real catch -- a historic and highly desirable pin-up page, worthy of your bidding attention.
