Jack Kirby and Chic Stone Journey Into Mystery #110 Thor Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1964). The ever-vigilant Thor senses an aura of evil emanating from the twin menaces of the feral Mr. Hyde and his cold-blooded compatriot, the Cobra. This spectacular splash from "Every Hand Against Him" features a majestic view of the Thunder God and his Uru hammer, Mjolnir, perched high above a sixties Manhattan skyline. This scene is charged with dramatic suspense -- the kind only Jack "King" Kirby could create on a comic book splash. Chic Stone adds his crisp inking to create the perfect Marvel Silver Age finish for this masterwork, and even Artie Simek's lettering is inspired. The image area of this splash page measures 12.5" x 19". Aside from a few light glue stains around the photostatted portraits of the Cobra and Mr. Hyde, the art is in Excellent condition.More information about Jack Kirby.
