Irwin Hasen and John Belfi All-American Comics #85 Green Lantern Sportsmaster Splash Page 1 Original Art (DC, 1947). In the John Broome scripted yarn, the "Rise and Fall of 'Crusher' Crock," when a superior athlete, Crusher Crock, is barred from all sports because of gross misconduct on the field, he swears revenge against those who would "play fair" in sporting events. Irwin Hasen made leaps and bounds in developing his skills as a cartoonist while working on the Green Lantern character under editor Sheldon Mayer. The image area of this splash page is 12.5" x 18", and aside from a two large taped-in art corrections, it's in Very Good condition. A distinctive number sticker at the lower right margin indicates this Golden Age piece was in fan legend Jerry Bail's possession at one point in its provenance.
