Description

Herb Trimpe and Tom Sutton - Original Art for What If? #2, page 1 (Marvel, 1977). This is truly a "splash" page, as the ever-rampaging Green Goliath, trouncing his way through another panel, punches the top off a fire hydrant. "What If the Hulk had Always Had Bruce Banner's Brain?", that's the question which inspired this issue of What If?, written by Roy Thomas and penciled by Herb Trimpe. Fans of Trimpe will always remember his work with the Hulk character and this sensational splash has Trimpe all over it. Tom Sutton brings his unparalleled talent to the inkwork on this senses-shattering image. The overall size is 10.5" x 16" with a 10" x 15" image area. The work is clean, with some slight tape staining along the top and bottom edges, and miscellaneous light stains along the bottom of the panel.
