Description

Gene Colan and Tom Palmer Doctor Strange #18 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1976). Doctor Strange and Clea meet Sir Francis Bacon. (And everyone likes Bacon, right?) This is the opening page for the Steve Englehart story "The Dream is Dead!" Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 13.75". This board has whiteout text corrections, clean-ups, and even whiteout stains. The board is very toned, with chipped edges and has been affixed directly to a 10.75" x 15.5" foam core board. There is a gouged-out abrasion through the Bristol and down to the foam core, which runs through the title and first balloon. Signed by Gene Colan in the top margin, although very faded. In Poor condition.
