Description

Frank Brunner and Dick Giordano Dr. Strange #1 Splash Page Original Art (Marvel Comics, 1974). Brunner's autograph surmounts this striking introductory page, which depicts a brooding Dr. Strange, as seen through the ominous window of his private sanctum. The Dr. Strange movie bewitched audiences in 2016, and with good reason: Fantastic source material, typified by this example. Great detailed images of Strange's Cloak of Levitation and the Eye of Agamotto amulet can be seen on this page, crafted in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board, with an image area of 10" x 15". The reverse contains a handwritten note from Brunner to inker Giordano. There are patches of production tape in the margins, some adhesive staining, and a faint toning. The title card is a paste-in stat. Excellent condition. Bid fast, before this page disappears!
