Description

    Esteban Maroto Dax, the Warrior Splash Page with a Vampirella Portrait Original Art (Warren, 1971). Warren Publishing's "Dax, the Warrior" series showcased the art and writing of Esteban Maroto. This fan-favorite series ran twelve parts between issues #39-52 of Eerie magazine. The Dax series was actually a reprinting of Maroto's creation Manly, which had originally appeared in Spain. During his epic travels, Dax battled sorcerers, witches, beasts, and even Death itself. Vampirella cameos as the horror hostess of this incredible splash page, and this piece has an image area of 14" x 20". The art is in Excellent condition. Also included in this lot is a Dax logo, drawn with markers. From the personal collection of Esteban Maroto.
