Description
Eddy Barrows and Ruy José Blackest Night: Superman #1 Kal-L First Full Appearance as Black Lantern Splash Page 10 Original Art (DC, 2009). A hushed Smallville erupts into horror as Kal-L (Earth-Two Superman) returns from the grave as a Black Lantern. This dramatic full-page splash captures his rise in a moonlit cemetery, the ghoulish, half-rotted face mirroring his cover stance. Marking the first full appearance of Kal-L as a Black Lantern, the image anchors Blackest Night, DC's necro-cosmic crossover in which Nekron deploys Black Lantern rings to resurrect the dead, stalling decay and rendering them nearly invincible. Ink over blue and red pencil on DC Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.75". Color notations in image area and light handling wear. Signed by Barrows and José in the top margin.
