    Description

Ed Hannigan and Dan Green Defenders #60 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1978). The Defenders (including Hulk, Hellcat, Nightwing, and Valkyrie) stand with Devil-Slayer against "The Revenge of Vera Gemini!" This is an early appearance for Devil-Slayer, who had been created as Demon Hunter at Atlas/Seaboard Comics by David Anthony Kraft and Rich Buckler. The two re-tooled the character a bit and moved him over to Marvel. The Xenogenesis story line is an almost direct continuation from his Atlas Comics appearance. Hellcat would end up with his cape for a while. This page was created from Ed Hannigan's layouts for Dan Green to finish in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15" (including the paste-up header and indicia). In Excellent condition.
