Don Heck House of Secrets #95 Splash Page Original Art (DC, 1971). Heck returns to his roots as a fantasy-and-suspense artist (after almost a decade's detour into super-hero stories) with this brightly designed splash. The spontaneity of the drawing is a wonder to behold. Pictured at top is Abel, the host of House of Secrets, during a period when editor Joe Orlando was seeking to recapture the mood of the EC Comics horror titles of the 1950s. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15". The page stock shows moderate toning, one marginal tear, two small stains (right, below logotype), and four blurred areas where the water-soluble ink has dissolved. White paint on the byline box shows chipping, and the indicia text (pasted at bottom) has darkened with age. Good condition.Shipping, Taxes, Terms and Bidding
