Description

Dave Sim Cerebus #3 Inside Back Cover Splash Page Original Art (Aardvark-Vanaheim, 1977). Next Issue: Death's Dark Thread. With this sinister House of Mirrors motif, you get not one... but seven views of the Earth-Pig Born! Dave Sim's Cerebus started off as a parody of Barry Windsor-Smith's Conan the Barbarian, which is evident even in this image by the three-disc medallion necklace Cerebus is wearing. In this issue, he met Red Sophia, and in the next, he would meet Elrod the Albino. But over the course of its 300-issue run, the series grew into a complex story following the young aardvark warrior through the ups and downs of his entire life! This stark piece was crafted in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by Sim in the image area. Lightly toned and in Excellent condition.
