Description

Dave McKean Batman: Arkham Asylum Double Splash Page Original Art (DC, 1989). Grant Morrison scripted a Batman graphic novel like no other with this book, and it's considered one of the greatest Batman graphic novels ever, and a large part of that reception was due to the otherworldly quality of Dave McKean's art, which has the effect of actually taking the reader inside this house of horrors. Mixed media on illustration board with an image area of 27.75" x 21", and matted to 31" x 24.25". Piece has white lace, some of which has been painted burgundy. The outfit of the man sitting down has also been cut from lace. There is thin red tape creating panels. There is adhesive residue on the side margins, an abrasion on the upper right margin, and light edge wear; otherwise, in Excellent condition.
