Description

Dave McKean Arkham Asylum Splash Page 42 Original Art (DC, 1989). An unforgettable splash page from the influential Batman one shot that elevated the medium's psychological scope. A bat shrieks through absolute darkness, wings spread wide as it drops toward the viewer. When the Joker presents a Rorschach test, this is what Batman sees. Dave McKean delivers the image in stark, painterly textures, turning inkblot psychology into a primal vision from Arkham Asylum. Rendered in mixed media on Bristol board with an image area of 14" x 21.75". There is a small chip in the center-left image area with minor color loss. In Very Good condition.

More Information: EDIT: Condition updated to note small chip in center-left image area with color loss.
