Description
Dave Hunt Super Spider-Man #171 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel UK, 1976). This all-new horizontal splash page opened up the story "The Goblin's Last Stand". It was a redux of the John Romita Sr. cover for Amazing Spider-Man #122, as it featured Spider-Man holding a dead Gwen Stacy! This was the aftermath from the story in the previous issue that rocked comic fandom back on its collective heels... "The Night Gwen Stacy Died", from Spider-Man #121. This page was created in ink over graphite on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 15" x 10". All text is stat paste-up, with one missing. There is glue residue near the paste-ups, and in the space left by the missing one. Spider-Man's word balloon has a rip in the edge of it. There is also some other residue from the missing caption boxed in the lower left and bottom. Overall the page is in Very Good condition.More information about Dave Hunt. See also: Hunt, Dave Artist.
