Curt Swan and Kurt Schaffenberger - Action Comics #583, page 2 Original Art (DC, 1986). The title splash page from the second part of the critically-acclaimed "final" Superman story, written by Alan Moore, and drawn by two of the best Superman artists ever: Curt and Kurt. In this dramatic, dynamic page, a huddled group of Superman's friends watch as the Man of Steel destroys the key to his Fortress of Solitude. Clean, crisp lines were the hallmark of Swan's work, and Schaffenberger lends more than a little polish to the proceedings. A historic page, and a beautiful one to boot. The artwork measures 11" x 16" and has some light creasing along the left side, and in the lower right corner, but is generally Excellent for display. Signed by both Swan and Schaffenberger in the lower right corner.
