Charles "Chas" Truog and Doug Hazlewood Animal Man #1 Splash Page 24 Original Art (DC, 1988). The re-invention of Animal Man takes its first bow with this memorable final page from the title that launched Grant Morrison's DC legacy! Doctor Myers leads Animal Man through the wreckage of S.T.A.R. Labs' testing facility, where shattered cages and scattered medical containers litter the floor. In stunned disbelief, Animal Man confronts the horrifying sight of test monkeys fused into a single, gelatinous mass that still lives in this shocking closing splash. Ink and white paint highlights over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by Hazlewood in the lower margin.
